The story of the North Aegean Cup began in 1978, when the Nautical Club of Thessaloniki envisioned an international offshore sailing event in the waters of Northern Greece. After its inaugural edition in Skopelos, the regatta found its home at Porto Carras Grand Resort, where it became permanently established in 1985. Since then, generations of distinguished sailors have raced these waters, helping shape one of the country’s most respected sailing traditions.

Today, the North Aegean Cup continues to celebrate excellence, sportsmanship, and the enduring bond between sailors and the sea. More than a competition, it is an invitation to experience the beauty of the North Aegean, the elegance of Porto Carras Grand Resort, and the timeless spirit of offshore sailing.
